Frequently Ask Questions

Do I qualify for this service? You qualify
for this service if your child lives two miles or
more from the charter school.
2.
Where do I apply for transportation service?
You will apply for transportation service through
your local school district.
3.
Is there a cost for my child's transportation
service, if so, how much? If your child lives
in another school district other than the charter
school district there will be a cost. However, if
you apply for transportation aid in your district
the cost may be paid by your district within a maximum
$751.00 per student expenditure. If the cost of this
service exceeds $751.00, then the parents or
lebgal guardians of the student may pay the amount
over $751.00 or receive $751.00 as aid in lieu of
transportation.
4.
Will there be transportation service for Special
Education and handicapped students? Yes, we intend
to provide service for these students, as indicated
on his/her I.E.P.
5.
Where will my child be picked-up or dropped off?
Your child will be picked-up at a scheduled bus route
stop.You will be notified about the bus schedule in
writing before the opening of school.
